STEPS (Sexual Treatment Education Prevention Services) Program provides mental health treatment in an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and/or treatment in a Structured Outpatient Program (SOP) for children and youth who have exhibited sexually abusive/reactive behavior who have full-scope Medi-Cal. IOP services include individual, family, and group therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults aged 6 to 21 years old. SOP with school services onsite serves young adults aged 12 to 21 years old who are unable to remain at school of origin due to risk of sexual reactive behaviors. SOP is offered 5 days a week and includes school, individual, family, group therapy and psychoeducational groups. The goal of STEPS program is to reduce the risk of further sexually reactive behavior and to foster safety and healing from trauma.
